Trinity College and Hotel Ocho Wedding in Toronto

I’m guilty of not posting a ton of downtown Toronto weddings even though I live here!

But Danny and Maryknoll’s beautiful downtown Toronto wedding definitely inspired me to shoot more of them. I would love photograph another Trinity College wedding, or a Hotel Ocho wedding. They’re both such unique and inspiring venues with totally different vibes.

Before I talk about all the pretty details, I have to say how much I loved working with Danny and MK. If you’ve been following my blog, you know i’ve already gushed about them after their Banff engagement session. They flew in for 48 hours just to do the shoot. Dave and I had so much fun driving around showing them our favourite spots. It’s still one of my favourite sessions and you can check it out here if you missed it: https://www.lushanabalephotography.com/canadian-rockies-banff-engagement-session/.

I loved how Danny and Maryknoll balanced the romantic, classic elements of their day with an ultra cool modernist vibe for their reception at Hotel Ocho.

They chose the beautiful historic Trinity Chapel on the U of T campus for their ceremony, which was the perfect for some wedding photos  around Trinity College and Hart House after the ceremony. Hotel Ocho’s mid century modern meets industrial space was the perfect way to end their day with a relaxed vibe!

Maryknoll brought the classic romanticism with her ballgown dress by Haley Paige, gorgeous Badgley Mischka shoes, Tiffany’s jewelry and a statement veil. Danny is actually a graphic designer and he created all the printed materials. I loved their invitations and tons of personalized touches around their reception space. One of my favourite details was Danny’s personalized boutonniere. It’s actually a mini photobook of images that Maryknoll had printed for him! I’ve definitely never seen that before, it’s such a unique idea!

Danny and Maryknoll are the kind of couple every wedding photographer wants to work with.

They were so supportive, trusting and appreciative of my work every step of the way. Their kindness towards each other and those around them is hard to miss. Even after almost a decade together they’re clearly very much in love. Their wedding had no lack of stylish details, but their day was also an easygoing, intimate event. It felt like a very personal reflection of their relationship and the people that mean the most to them.

If anyone else is having a Trinity College or Hotel Ocho wedding, get in touch :)
