Krystina and Andrew’s Sandbanks engagement session was my first shoot in Prince Edward County since moving up here in June!
Since couples book wedding photographers pretty far in advance, my year was booked up before we even decided to move. That meant all my 2022 weddings and engagement sessions were still for my Toronto clients. But the scenery in Prince Edward County is so beautiful I was excited to get started shooting here as soon as possible. I was so happy that Krystina and Andrew took me up on my offer to do their engagement session up here, and that they got the spend the weekend enjoying a bit of Prince Edward County.
I immediately suggested my favourite spot, Lakeshore Beach in Sandbanks Provincial Park. Having grown up on Vancouver Island, i’m so happy to live near the beach again. Especially one that feels a lot like the ocean! I love the mix of greenery, sandy beach, sand dunes and beautiful sunsets that this spot offers. It’s truly like stepping into a tropical getaway. To top things off, this beach is also a bit quieter than some of the other beaches in the park. One of the nicest differences from Toronto is not needing to work around crowds of people at all the best photo locations!
Krystina and Andrew are also such a kind, easy going couple that the shoot felt like meeting up with friends. We had the most beautiful early summer evening with warm water to dip our toes in and a pastel toned sunset. The best kind of shoot in my opinion! Looking forward to hopefully many more shoots like this as a Prince Edward County Wedding Photographer!
