This was my first time photographing a Hockley Valley Resort wedding and I can’t wait to photograph more!
I always enjoy getting the chance to travel out of Toronto for weddings, even if it’s just an hour north. Janice and Chris got married in late September and were hoping for fall colours. But instead got a beautiful warm summer day, which is a pretty good tradeoff! The sun was so bright even up until a few minutes before sunset, their photos were practically glowing!
Janice put so much work into planning her wedding and making sure every little detail was personalized. Even though she and Chris lead a super busy lives as doctors Janice somehow found the time to diy much of her wedding. She learnt calligraphy and made her own invitations created the silk flower centerpieces and hand painted her cake. Everything turned out looking so professional too! Of course it helps that she has amazing taste. The rest of the flowers were beautiful arrangements from one of my favourite florist, Coriander Girl. Janice also looked gorgeous in her ballgown dress by Hayley Paige!
The best part of this wedding day though was the people! Janice, Chris and their entire wedding party were so sweet and easy to work with that it a was like photographing a friend’s wedding. Her bridesmaids even brought us a pizza while we were shooting portraits, which is basically every wedding photographer’s dream! Hoping to photograph another Hockley Valley Resort wedding soon!
