Charleston, South Carolina Wedding Editorial

Here’s another little look into what i’ve been up to in between wedding season this year! This was my first time visiting Charleston and I kind of fell in love! It’s such a friendly city full of amazing restaurants, beautiful architecture and pastel tones. It was the perfect escape from winter and the perfect setting for this romantic inspiration shoot. As soon as I set foot on the beautiful historic Lowndes Grove Plantation it felt like being immediately transported into another time. The talented Tristan Needham put together a shoot that oozed nostalgia and romance with just the right amount of contemporary minimalism.

This shoot was really all about the little details from the intricate cake to the dreamy tablescape. The soft peach and rose florals by Ginny of Enemies of the Average were in many ways the star of the shoot and really pulled together all the other elements. The beautiful historic room where the bride got ready inspired me to try some more artistic black and white imagery, which I don’t always get the chance to use at weddings. We were also lucky to have beautiful weather that day and the late afternoon sun gave everything the dreamiest warm glow!
