I’m so excited to share this shoot I photographed over on the west coast earlier this year! The inspiration for this shoot came from a personal place since I grew up not too far from here along the west coast of Vancouver Island. After living in Eastern Canada for the past 10 years, I’m always impressed by the beauty of this island when I return. For this trip we rented the cutest little waterfront cottage right next to French Beach Provincial Park about 20 minutes north of Sooke, which was the perfect chance to organize a little photoshoot. I knew I wanted to create a something that really captured this beauty with elements of soft romance mixed with the raw natural elements of the landscape. I worked with a team of amazing vendors from Victoria BC who brought my vision to life perfectly.
Blush Bridal Boutique provided the most delicate, ethereal gown from Saja, Rook and Rose created a flower crown and bouquet that perfectly mixed wild greenery with romantic pastels, and Erin Bradley created an earthy, natural bridal look. Toronto designer Peartree and Clover provided the pretty, handcrafted invitations. We were also so lucky that the weather cooperated with a (somewhat rare) gorgeous sunset. Hoping I get the chance to photograph a wedding in Victoria or Vancouver Island sometime soon!
