Would you travel for my wedding?

Absolutely, I’m based in Toronto but I love to travel and photograph weddings in new beautiful places! I have a special all-inclusive destination wedding package, and I offer discounts on travel to certain locations (like BC and Europe) that I love to visit! See more information here: Destination Weddings.

How long have you been photographing weddings?

2017 is my 6th year of doing weddings, but i’ve been doing different types of photography for the last 10+ years.

Do you photograph elopements?

Yes! I love elopements and small intimate weddings! In fact, my own wedding only had 14 guests. I have a special package for destination elopements that includes all travel fees, and an hourly rate available for local elopements. Local elopements with less than 6 hours coverage are usually booked on weekdays or Sundays. Please contact me for detailed info.

Do you work with an assistant?

Yes, my husband Dave works with me on weddings! He second shoots when needed and helps me with equipment and odd jobs to make sure the day runs smoothly and I don’t miss any shots! We do stay together during the day though, so if you need someone to cover an event simultaneously (such as the bride and groom getting ready at the same time) please inquire about hiring an additional photographer.

Do you work in film or digital?

I’m a hybrid photographer, which means I use both digital and film to capture your images depending on which suits the occasion better. Outdoor portraits with beautiful light and lots of time to compose my images are perfect for film, while indoor low-light situations and candids are much better suited to digital.

Do you have insurance and backup equipment?

Definitely, I have professional liability insurance and I always bring three camera bodies, 6 different lenses and 5 external flashes when I photograph a wedding. My cameras also have dual memory card slots which makes an instant backup of each photo I take. The photos are then downloaded directly to my computer as soon as I get home from a wedding.

How far in advance should we book?

I only book 20 weddings per year to make sure I can devote enough time to each couple, so my dates are limited. Most couples book about 12 to 18 months in advance, sometimes earlier for dates during the busy months of June to September.

How much do couples usually spend?

My packages range from $3200 for basic coverage up to $5000 for extras like a fine art wedding album, with additional a-la-carte options also available. HST is additional.

How do we book you?

First send me an e-mail to let me know a little about your wedding. If i’m available for your date and it sounds like a good fit for my style of photography i’ll send you a price list and some more information. If you’re local to Toronto we can set up an in person meeting where you can ask me some more questions and look through my sample albums, or we can have a Facetime or Skype chat. I have lots of photos and info on my website too, so some couples book me without a meeting as well! Bookings can easily be done online and i’ll send out a welcome booklet with some helpful tips on planning for your wedding photography!

If you have any other questions not covered here, please contact me!
